Jacob enjoyed reading to PK-2 grade students as a middle and high school student volunteer.  The Jacob William Edwards Foundation adopts local elementary schools each year in partnership with the AVID program Hightower High School.  We provide at least three (3) books per student in the Kindergarten classrooms and support the AVID student volunteers with a volunteer set to promote reading in the classroom and home settings.

Jacob was a natural athlete and played his preferred sport of baseball from the age of 3 through his high school career.  The Jacob William Edwards Foundation offers annual scholarships to high school seniors seeking to further their academic studies at a two-year or four-year institution of higher learning.  The 6th Annual Jacob William Edwards Foundation Scholarship cohort will be awarded on June 6, 2026, at the Golf Tournament.

faith-based camp scholarships

Jacob accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior during a youth faith-based camp at the age of 13 while he was a middle school student.  He excitedly shared his story of salvation with his family when he returned home.  The Jacob William Edwards Foundation will provide annual scholarships to middle school youth to participate in faith-based camp experiences during the summer.
